Privacy
The Meymo web companion stores only the account, billing, and pairing data required to support the desktop app.
Last updated: June 2026
This privacy policy explains what data the Meymo web companion collects, why, and how you stay in control. Meymo Desktop is local-first: this companion only processes the data required for your account, billing, and activation.
01Data we collect
We collect account information (email address, sign-in provider identifier), billing data handled by Stripe (subscription status and payment history; card numbers never pass through our servers), and linked-device data (name, platform, version, pairing and last-sync dates).
02How we use data
This data is used to authenticate your access, manage your subscription, activate Meymo Desktop, sync your entitlements, and let you review or revoke your linked devices. We never use your data for advertising.
03Legal basis and retention
We process your data to perform our contract with you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We keep it while your account is active, then for the period required by law before deleting or anonymizing it.
04Sharing and processors
We rely on processors to run the service: Stripe for payments, plus our hosting and transactional-email providers. Authentication uses the provider you choose (Google, Apple, or Microsoft). We do not sell your data and share it only with these processors, strictly as needed.
05Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data. You can delete your account from your settings or contact us to exercise these rights.
06Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted transport, access controls, and signed desktop entitlements. As no system is infallible, we recommend using a strong password with your sign-in provider.
07Cookies
The web companion uses only the cookies needed for authentication, security, and remembering your language. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
